»UMBRELLA PINE« was founded by Norman Beckmann and Meike Gerlach, two creative and strategic minds from Germany who decided to bring together all of their skills, passions, knowledge and ideas of modern working in this new company.
Said and done. Here we are now, working with a lot of joy, heart and brain, attitude, curiosity and highest quality standards in the fields of publishing, communication and design.

We highly value well-designed, thought-out and well-produced books, magazines and catalogues – physical and digital. Thanks to our longtime experience in independent publishing we bring along a lot of know-how especially in this field.
As »UMBRELLA PINE – Publishers« we mainly realize our own publications (with a focus on: photography, design, lifestyle and art). We also offer consulting, conception and design, content and strategy development for external book, magazine, catalogue and e-publishing projects.
WE CREATE AND REALIZE COMMUNICATION AND DESIGN CONCEPTS
With »UMBRELLA PINE – Creative Studio« we support corporate, cultural and private clients with creative communication and design concepts and their implementation.
We concentrate only on a limited number of clients at the same time. For this we always take care of the projects with full commitment and if it’s necessary we are able to immediately activate additional freelance experts to expand the team.

We are always very thankful and delighted when a specialist jury appreciates our work, but we have decided to not take part in competitions in the near future (except one of our partners or clients wants to).
Before we both started founding »UMBRELLA PINE«, we worked on several awarded or shortlisted projects – mostly as publishers and sometimes additionally as designers.
